In Deepest Loving Memory of Ng-Chen Ah Boy (1998 - 30/01/2010)

Boy has gone home with God today. Its the hardest and most painful decision we have to make to let our love one go.

3 weeks ago Boy's muzzle and throat started swelling. He rejected all form of food and water. Monday we bought him to see vet, he was given 3 jab (anti inflammatory, anti swelling, appetite booster). Vet suspected that either his ear infection had inflamed his lymph node or he had Lymphatic Cancer

He came home slightly better and swell came down by a bit. He eat on Monday and a bit on Tuesday. He stop in taking any form of food and water since Wednesday. His swelling got worse and drool badly. He cant even swallow his saliva and was ubber weak.

This morning we brought him to the Vet again. Vet advise that the treatment would only prolong his life for another 1-2 days and it would be better if we put him to sleep as he is in pain, misery and his quality of life is very compromised. We ask how long will he last if we were to bring him home, Vet advise it would not be too long and he would die of hunger as he does not intake any food.

Hence we make a very painful decision to let him go, to end his misery and pain.

We are missing him badly now!!! But we know he is at a better place with no misery and pain.

Goodbye Old Man!! You are safe with God. Run free over the rainbow bridge.

Congratulation to Scott & Joycelyn

Unfortunately Hubby is still not feeling too good to attend their holy matrimony, so I attended it alone. Im still glad I was there to give Scott & Joycelyn the blessing.

It was a small and solemn ceremony in a beautiful church. Most importantly all were there to witness and bless the newly wed couple.

When they exchange their vows, memory of "070707" flown in my mind. The day when HB and I, become Mr and Mrs.

I love some of the "advice" the priest gave.
1. When 2 come together as Husband and Wife, its no longer me and you, its US.
2. Have more children cause their blessing from God.
3. Instead of grumbling why your spouse do not have 5C, why not help them to attain the 5C. (5C are just example of your expectation towards your spouse)

May God bless them with true happiness as they emerge in their marriage.

I had to rush home to take care of Hubby, hence I forgot to take a picture with the couple.

Nasoalveolar Molding Aka NAM

Below information extracted from CleftSmiles.org.

NAM stands for nasoalveolar molding. It is a procedure done by dentists prior to surgical repair for cleft lip and palate because surgical repair alone cannot correct the multiple problems encountered with the deformities that result from clefts of the lip and palate. A difficult challenge for the surgeon is the creation of an aesthetically acceptable correction of the deficient columella (middle part of the nose) and the deformity of the nasal cartilages. The NAM technique takes advantage of the malleability of immature cartilage of the nose and the ability to non-surgically construct the columella through the application of tissue expansion. Pre-surgical infant orthopedics (molding) has been employed since the 1950's for correction of cleft lip and palate, but it does not take into account the deformities of the nasal cartilages and columella.. By the addition of a nasal portion to the molding plate, we can now correct the nasal tip, the base on the affected side, as well as the position of the philtrum and columella.

I couldn't find a lot of website that clearly explain NAM, but below are some website worth exploring into.

Antenatal Check Up - Week 36

Sheldon's Weight: 2.709Kgm
Mummy's Weight: 55.4 (Lost 1.2Kgm....>.<"')

Baby is gaining weight normally but don't ask why I lost weight despite having good appetite this week.

Sheldon is still partially engaged, Dr Wong advise that engaging early doesn't mean delivering early. Some baby only engage during labour.

My hands started getting numb a week ago and its pretty painful especially during the night time. Dr Wong explained that its due to water retention and it will get worse for the next few weeks. He share that another expecting mum actually drop a glass of water due to the numbness and warn me to be careful about holding fragile stuff.

I check with him do we need to draw up a birth plan, his answer was "lets keep things simple". I agree too, being a first time mum there is really so much we don't know, all we can do is to trust the professional we engaged. I'm quite confidence of Dr Wong professional ethnic though there is a fair share of black sheep in their line.

Dr Wong advise that if contraction persist for 2 hours and each contraction interval is 15mins, we will have to head down to TMC. Hubby ask Dr Wong how do differentiate contraction pain, Dr Wong replied "its mensus pain multiply by a million time". Hubby was pretty taken aback by the degree of pain.

No strep B test done today as our appointment time wasn't in time for the laboratory delivery hence the test was postpone next week.

Woodsward Gripe Water

Woodsward Gripe Water is a must for all new born baby. My kiasu mum bought 2 bottles. I remember when I was young, I would secretly steal a few slip of my sister's gripe water and I still love the taste till today. We used to call it "woof woof 肥仔水" because pple in the olden days cant really pronounce English words properly as they dont received much education. My mum say I can drink it now as it help to reduce heatiness and relieve wind.

Read more about it from Wikipedia.

New packaging

But the inner packaging remain and it look so retro!!!

Early Pressie

Birthday around the corner, I already start receiving present. My girlfriends are the best, they bought something I need.

Simple dinner, simple gifts, simple friends, simply happy with just able to catch up with each other life. I love my gang of girlfriends because they are not those nosey and gossipy girls.

Once again Thank You so much for the presents!!!

Photography Rights

The other day when Hb and the maternity shoot photographer, KW, were talking abt photography rights. Some how its a very debating subject.

KW mentioned that all photos right belong the photographer, not the person in the photos, be it whether its a paid or unpaid photography session. They were discussing about photography competition, whereby usually the photographer has to surrender the rights to the organiser which KW personally find it not right. Then again, RIGHTS issue are forever so debatable.

That why HB always tell me to be careful about pictures that I upload on facebook, blog or any online media. Reason being you never who will take this picture to create trouble for you in future.

So Dear Friends who are reading my blog, if you think you need any pictures from my blog, please kindly ask for permission, so at least I know who possesses the photos.

PS: Im still waiting for my maternity shoot to complete editing, shall share when its ready.

Antenatal Check Up - Week 35

Sheldon's weight: 2.548Kgm (Dr Wong is satisfy with the weight)

ZPS Gathering

Little school girls we were, now we are grown up, some already promoted to Mummy. Times really fly!!! I had a gathering with my primary school mates a couple of weeks ago, its really great catching up with everyone. I felt so guilty when one of my classmate mentioned that we have not meet for 12 years!! I got to really make a point to catch up with friends, being busy with life are lousy excuses. After all when we leave this world, we only can take fond memories with us.

Adorable Chloe!!

Im glad that everyone is doing well. I do look forward to our next gathering.
