Highly Blessed!!

I don't own a car, a condominium, a landed property, cant afford many branded stuff, don't draw high salary, don't have many zeros in my bank account. But I'm blessed with families and friends who genuinely cares.

My uncle called me the other day and told me he had a second hand oven for me. I was caught by surprised that he remember that my kitchen cabinet has a space specially for oven but this cheapo woman only put a mini one in it. 2 days later he came up and installed the oven for me!!!

I have a Hubby, who charged my mobile for me, tops up my water bottle, wakes up early just to buy breakfast for me, take care of the baby and he tells this woman with a tummy full of stretch mark, with a loop sided breast that she is still as attractive as before.

I have a Mom who is ever ready to resigned her job to take care of my child and we are talking about taking care of special child.

When my niece and nephew are sick, my cousin still remember to constantly show her concern on us.

Families and Friends who always drop me a call, sms and even visit me and my child. They are always the first one to call when any minor or major issue happened.

They are the best on earth and they make me feel so blessed!!!!

2 months old milestone

Times flies, Sheldon is 2 months and 3 days old today! Im really amaze by how fast little baby can grow. Today Sheldon try to roll over but of cos failed. Well, I guess it just a little while more for my baby to successfully turn over. And this means he has to be place right in the middle of the bed to prevent him from rolling off the bed. Sometimes he bust into tears when he failed to roll over and get the fingers into his mouth.

-Learning to flip over
-Cooing
-When I talk to him, he will coo in response
-Adorable smile
-Suckling fingers.
-Can hold his head for a while up when lying on tummy

My Labour Story

I know its a very late post, but late is better than never. :p

05/02/2010: Having irregular contraction, decided to stay home just in case contraction got worse during journey to work.
05/02/2010 evening : Contraction getting more regular but not intense enough.

06/02/2010 Morning: Admit TMC for CTG scan. Midwives confirm Im having contraction and was already 1.5 cm dilated.
06/02/2010 Afternoon: Move to delivery ward. Trying to cope with the labour pain.
06/02/2010 Evening: Dr Wong came in check cervix, only 3 com dilated!!! Still tolerating the pain. Was put on drip to induce the labour.
06/02/2010 late evening: Midwives commented that my blood pressure on the higher side and must monitor closely.
06/02/2010 Night: Still tolerating the pain and midwives commented a few times that my blood pressure is rising. I start to worry....

07/02/2010 Morning: Dr Wong came in and check cervix, only 4 cm. WTH!!!! 1 whole night of labour pain only 1 cm. Dr Wong ask whether I want epidural, I rejected. He bust the water bag hoping the cervix to dilate faster.
07/02/2010 230pm: Dr Wong came in and check cervix, still 4 cm only!! Midwives advise my blood pressure is still on the high side. Dr Wong advise that Im too tense up from tolerating the pain that why my blood pressure is rising. He suggest epidural to relieve my tension and also allowed the cervix to dilate faster. Afraid that I will be wheeled into operation theater, I agree to epidural.
07/02/2010 5pm: Have the shitting feeling, call for midwives but she advise that it shouldnt be so soon. Despite being on epidural, I still can feel the contraction pain, the most amazing part is I feel Sheldon "dropping" into birth canal.
07/02/2010 620pm: Have the intense shitting feeling, all for midwives. Finally 10 cm dilated, ready to push but Dr Wong is at next door doing stitching. A while later, midwives came back and say I can start to push. Dr Wong follow in shortly. I push with all my might, Dr Wong commented Im doing well and ask me to continue to push harder.
07/02/2010 630pm: Dr Wong explain that Sheldon not moving down despite my pushing, advise to use vaccum to assist my labour. I agree, as Im really drain out after so many days of labour.
07/02/2010 636pm: Heard Sheldon first cry!!!! And it mark my proudest moment of my life.

After delivering Sheldon, I started puking non stop, nurse advise is the side effect of epidural.

Grandma A and Brand A

Me: When Sheldon going to your place, I will buy a steriliser to put at your place. Do you want to use the same as mine(Rapid Pigeon Steriliser).
Grandma A: I prefer to boil the bottles.
Me: Not all bottles can boil, steriliser is better and safer.
Grandma A: Yours is what brand? Brand P ar, I prefer Brand A(She is referring to Avent).
Grandma A pause for a while and continue....
Grandma A: What Brand are you using after his surgery?
Me: Pigeon and Dr Brown.
Grandma A: Bottles I also prefer Brand A, I went shopping, they have different pricing for Brand A, buy the MOST expensive ones.
Me: Ehh last time I think we use ulu ulu brand bottles that were brought from neighbourhood store.
Grandma A: Be glad that last time I have enough money to buy milk powder for you.
Me: .......

Nowadays children are really very fortunate!!!

Milk Milk Milk

I have stop expressing milk and now I have more time to rest and take better care of Baby S.

I have been struggling for the past 2 months to keep expressing milk for Baby S. Like any Mummy, I believe that breast milk is the best for our baby. I do feel guilty to stop expressing at such early stages.

Im alone at home during the day time and there is really a lot for me to juggle. Due to his Baby S condition, he feed almost close to 1 hr for each feed. After his feed I have to change diapers, change his tape, wash his plate, pump milk, wash and sterilize bottle. Before I can do anything else Baby S screaming for milk again.... At times when he is really cranky, there is no way I can do anything except having him in my arms.

Due to the negligence of my care, Baby S down with thrush infection. Luckily Dr Lee spotted it early, if not the thrush infection will spread to his whole mouth and cause him hell lots of pain.

So I drop pumping of milk, I now can have more time feeding him and keep the hygiene level to the maximum level.

Luckily I did store a fair bit of milk for the past 2 months. If not I will feel more guilty.

My upper tray of the freezer is close to 3/4 full with EBM.
