Boy or Girl

You're more likely to be carrying a boy if...

• Your baby's heartbeat is lower than 140 beats per minute
• you're carrying all out front
• you're carrying low

• you're blooming in pregnancy
• you didn't suffer from morning sickness in your first trimester
• your right breast is bigger than your left
• you look at yourself in the mirror for at least a minute and your pupils dilate
• you crave salty food or protein, such as cheese and meat
your feet become cold more quickly than before you were pregnant
• you tie your wedding ring to some thread, hang it over your stomach and it moves in circles
• your skin becomes dry
• you combine your age at the time of conception with the number of the month you conceived and the resulting number is even
• your hair has become more full-bodied and shiny during pregnancy
• the hair on your legs has been growing faster during pregnancy
• you are more prone to headaches
• your pillow faces north when you sleep
• you're asked to show your hands and you present them palms down
• you lie on your left side when sleeping
• your urine is bright yellow
• you were the more aggressive partner during love-making when you conceived
• you eat a clove of garlic and the smell seeps out of your pores
• your previous child's first word was "dada".

You're more likely to be having a girl if...

• Your baby's heartbeat is faster than 140 beats per minute
• you're carrying all round
• you're carrying high
• you've missed the "blooming" period altogether
• you suffered morning sickness during your first twelve weeks
• your left breast is bigger than your right
• you look at yourself in the mirror for at least a minute, but your pupils don't dilate
• you crave sweet things, such as juice, fruit and sweets
• you tie your wedding ring to some thread, hang it over your stomach and it swings from side to side
• your skin is soft
• you are more moody than usual
• you're asked to show your hands and you present them palms up
• you were the less aggressive partner during love-making when you conceived
• you eat a clove of garlic, but you don't smell of it
• you combine your age at the time of conception with the number of the month you conceived and the resulting number is odd
• your hair has become thinner and dull during pregnancy
• you lie on your right side when sleeping
• your pillow faces south when you sleep
• your urine is dull yellow
• your previous child's first word was "mama".

I took a similar test and it say Im 67% carrying a boy and 33% a girl. There is 2 version of chinese calendar, one say Im having a boy the other say Im having a girl. Im so gonna laugh my head off these old wives tales if BB is a princess.

Just wanna say Thank You

I really need to say 10q to many pple who really show care and concern during my pregnancy. No matter is the things they say or do, really touch my heart.

HB: He has been giving his ultimate support and care from the day we knew abt the pregnancy. He really tk good care of everything and let me have a piece of mind when Im resting. During the first trimester, the fatigue was really bad, basically I have to struggle to wake up everyday to get to work, by the time Im home, Im completely drop dead. At times I can slp as early as 8pm, tt leave him to do everything in the house. He get late for work becos he need to get breakfast for me everyday, and at time suffer nonsense from me.

Cousin Thomas: After HB announce the news to him, he is really happy for us. He started telling HB what to do and how to take care of me.  He share his knowledge as a father with him and he is genuinely concern abt us. There was once HB rcv his sms, reminding HB not to let me do exercise as first 3 mths bb still not stable.

Vendor: He was one of those who really surprise me, he called me up to congratulate me and started sharing a lot of advices with me. His knowledge really surprise me and I must say his wife is also one of the luckiest woman on earth. I really saw a caring man which is totally different from what I know abt him previously, playful and cheeky.  During one of my Saturday's duty, he rang me up and ask why am I sending email at 1:10pm, so I told him Im leaving after sending u the last email, in a concern manner he ask me to quickly go back and rest. Another time, I called him up to check on some operation at 6:15pm, he told me vsl delayed till next week, matter keep it to next week then discuss and ask me to quickly to go back home and 养胎. Sometimes such kind act in the office make me feel a lot better at work.

Superior: I was so worried to tell him abt my pregnant news, but things turn out to be much better than I expect. Due to my MS, I were constantly late for work. He told me he perfectly understand my situation and told me tt MS can really be bad at times. I guess company support to make a great difference for any preggy woman.

Colleagues: I must say this 2 colleagues who are young and single are really understanding to me. One of them will accompany me to taobao food for everyone, as she knows I cant carry heavy stuff. She will be the one volunteering to go taobao with me and nvr have a second word abt carrying all the lunch back. The other one actually, help me do filling as she can really see that Im really busy with my work. At least I have 1 stack of files less to trouble, I have been working on stacks of file since the hooha in the office happened. It took me 2 weeks to clear the backlog files and emails. She willingly exchange her Saturday's duty with me as she knows I need to go for antenatal check up. Though young and single, both of them have great knowledge abt pregnancy too.

Friends and Family: Those who are really encouraging abt my pregnancy, those who really give good piece of advice, those who genuinely share our joy. Thank you very much, cos you guys make my pregnancy process a cheerful one.

在家靠家人出外真的要靠朋友. 真的谢谢大家.

When we met you

1st time: You were 8 weeks old, you only measure 1.67cm. Dr Wong had to zoom in so many times to locate you, though small, u already had head, body, hands and legs. Your were so tiny that your heartbeat were flickering like a LED light. We were over delighted, so over the moon that we forgot everything we need to ask the gynae. We went home with u all over our mind.

2nd time: You were 11 weeks old, you were so active inside my womb. You were kicking, punching and bashing, you even did a 180 degree flip and landed urself on the other side of my womb. You couldnt stop moving, hence the ultrasound picture was blur. In less than 3 weeks you grew almost 2.5 times measuring 4.3cm.

3rd time: You were 12 weeks old, you were slping and the nurse comment that its good tt u remain at position so that she can take an accurate measurement of you. We were at TMC for OSCAR test and hospital tour, we even signed up for the antenatal class which is starting in October. This is the only time I see you were slping so far, nurse comment tt maybe I didnt have a full breakfast hence u had no energy for moving ard. The nurse try to wake u up, but u use ur hand and brush it off and continue slping. The OSCAR test result was good, the possibilities is only 1-20000.

4th time: You were 13 weeks old, this time round we were in a worrying state that we might lost you. I have to be admitted to hospital due to spotting issues. I couldnt get to see u on the ultrasound machine but Daddy Chen could and the nurse said tt your were swimming happily inside. I could only hear ur heartbeat and tt all I can ask for you to be safe and sound.

5th time: You were 14 weeks old, you were 8cm long. You were shaking ur head, clapping ur hands, put ur hand on ur head and play with ur legs with ur hands. Ur turn ur head away from the camera, u refuse to turn back even Dr Wong try to make some pressure on you. After a while, u turn ard and face the camera, looking straight into the camera for a long time. Same thing, you couldnt stop moving, but this time round the ultrasound picture turn out better than the one on 11 weeks old. U did a "Alamak/Aiyo" post when Dr Wong took a picture of you. You must have heard our joke last night, when I were telling Daddy Chen how a young lady cover her eyes with her hand so tt she can continue sitting on the train. So Daddy Chen say tt I should do a "Alamak/Aiyo" post to tell that lady how pathetic she was. We left the clinic amaze that you actually know how to clap hands when no one teaches you.

We will be seeing you again on 05/09/2009, hopefully we can get a confirmation on your gender, so that we can get the correct item for you. I promise a pink combi pram if we are on team PINK, Daddy Chen likes the black combi, we might get tt if we are on team BLUE. We will love you no matter whether u r a girl or boy, just be a good and healthy kid when u r out, cos mummy hates non-stop crying baby and spoilt kids. If u r naughty, I'll stuff u back inside again. Kekeke.

The Man's Birthday

This month we celebrate HB and Boy's Birthday. We dont know exactly when Boy's bday is but he came to our place last year August, so I told HB to celebrate his birthday together.

During lunch time I went over to OG to get Bday card and pressie. Bought HB a new gun toy, he had the smaller version hence this time round I bought the medium size version. There is the Large and X-Large size version, but too bad, his preggy wife cant even lift up the large one off the rack not even to mention carrying it ard.

We had dinner @ Lau Pa Sat together with my mom. My mom bought him a Adidas bag and she nvr bought any bag for me before. >.<""

Head home and had a mini celebration with Boy. This old man was very confused why we were singing bday song and why there is a piece of cake with 2 candles burning in front of him. Poor Boy is suffering from diarrhea for 3 days....

The Man"s"!!! (Initially I on the flashlight and the photo turn out to be a disaster...... I try to edit it with photoshop and it still look bad.)

Oreo and Boy. (Its amazing how both of their friendship grew, they slp beside each other now)

The pictures are slightly abit better after I switch off the flashlight.

Does he look like a 11 yr old dog?

Oreo.

Last but not least HB's pressie.

Emergency Scare....

For the past 3 months, everything was fine except for the occasionally bad MS. Yesterday we had our first BB scare...... Late morning we left for Tangling halt as I were craving for the chicken rice then we further proceed to Istean for BB sales. Due to my cold, we headed back home after getting the BB stuff.

After my afternoon nap, I wake up and see 2 spotting on my panty liner. HB ask me to quickly call our gyane, Dr Wong advise me if symptom persist, Im to admit to TMC immediately. Not long after tt, I found another big spot of spotting, we quickly call Dr Wong and rush down to TMC.

Dr Wong did a check and scan on BB and confirm everything was normal. It might be Im coughing badly and many sort of other issues tt causes the spotting. Dr Wong prescribe some hormone pills to stabilise the spotting.

Due to the position of the ultrasound machine, I werent able to view my BB, but HB can see. The machine were relatively new, the nurse turn on the sound of the BB heartbeat, it such such a relieve after hearing my BB heartbeat. HB says BB was very actively swimming inside and can see BB very clearly.

Dr Wong did not detect any bleeding in my womb nor any abnormalities in my placenta, hence we need not admit to hospital. Dr Wong did a vaginal check and it really hurts!!! Thru the vagina check, we found some brown discharge, but Dr Wong say as long as no bleeding in the womb and placenta are normal, it shouldnt cause any alarm.

The car ride to TMC was the worse ride I ever had in my life. Both of us were equally worried, but I told myself nobody can take away our BB.

We paid close to a $400 bill and left home. HB say $400 for a piece of mind is worth it......

This is the ultrasound done at TMC. This ultrasound come with the BB heartbeat frequency.

Serving National Service

Finally, can break the good news to everyone, I have been serving national service for 3 mths!!! Im so relieved, as Im going to step into my 2nd trimster, which means Im going to bid goodbye to MS and extreme fatigue. Gynae say I have 1 more weeks of MS to go, and I cant wait for tt 1 week to past.

I have lost a total of 2kgm due to MS and no appetite, this is no ultimate fun. When it come to meal time, its alway become a headache, dont intake also headache. My gynae say Im those lucky one who dont puke more than 5 times a day. Yes indeed, I only started to puke from the 8th week which gynae say from 8-12week is the peak of MS. Some days Im luckily enough to escape MS, on those unlucky days, I only puke average 2-3 times a day which is so less compare to many mommy. There was only once I puke 5 times in the morning, and have to call in for a half day MC.  I cant image those MTB who puke 10 times a day.

Im blessed with supporting family and esp HB. My entire family is rejoicing over the new member, they get to know the news at 8 weeks after our first scan. My parents get to know immediately after I realise Im preggy. HB have been ultra supporting, I have not walk the dogs for 3 whole months due to my fatigue and I have been like a queen at home.

I'll share more later. Pls enjoy my BB ultrascan.
