Long Weekend - Part 2 (Taime Sales)

We are suppose to visit Rieann but unfortunately she fall sick. Get well soon alright!!

Get to know that Taime is having sales, so we headed East AGAIN!!! I actually wanted to go on Saturday but didnt as I did not know the address.

Bringing baby out is like going to war, there is just so much stuff to pack!!! We went to pick Mom and Sis up before heading down for the sales. Ubber BTH my Mom, everyday see Baby S still want to find excuse to carry him thru out the journey. My youngest sis was great, she help to push the pram around, wanted to help me carry my baby bag, carry Baby S and even want to coax him to sleep in the car. Compared to others 12 years old kids, I think she is much better well off. Although we often nag at her academic result but she still have her strength.

My Mom couldn't make up her mind and keep asking me for suggestion. I told her, "if you think its necessary JUST BUY and that end her pestering. We spend $150 getting for the below baby stuff.

Long Weekend - Part 1

We took Baby S to Dr Teo for vaccination and follow up on the thrush issue. Relay what Dr Lee SJ's (Sheldon's surgeon) advice to Dr Teo, he also agree that the white patches might not be thrush. According to Dr Teo it could be the pressure caused by the plate. Anyway its good to continue the Nystatin as a prevention. So this end our thrush case.

Baby S took the 2nd dose of 6in1 Hexa jab, boy he was so cranky the whole day. We just managed to coax him to bed.

We left Baby S at Mom's place, so we could delivered kibbles to ALL and do some purchase at IKEA. Sadly the high chair we bought the other time its no longer available. Hb bought Oreo a new bowl and a lamp AGAIN. Guess we have to try our luck at Alexandra's branch, do let us know if anyone has one to let go. Now we have to buy 2 sets of baby stuff, 1 for my Mom's place and 1 at my place.

The other day was telling Hb that this month I'll be bankrupt as its GSS month!! My generous Hb say, "swap the supplementary card I gave you."!!! Credit cards are good servant but don't let it become your master.

Hb had OVERPRICED meatball spaghetti.


I had baked roasted chicken thigh and IKEA coffee sux big time.

New Hairstyle

Went to Reds to had my hair cut, Ann is really a good stylist. Every time I just tell her, give me something easy to handle. I never need to use any hair products to style my hair just blow dry it will do.

Ann highlighted my hair, I told her to make sure I dont look like an Ah Lian after the highlight. She did a scalp treatment for me, it really help to reduce the amount of hair Im dropping right now.

If you are not washing clothes frequently then I would suggest you buy a few more sets to stand by.

Diapers
Its really personal preference when it comes to which brand of diapers to use. I used PetPet S when baby was less than 1 month old. Cause they poo after every feed, so the diaper will be change very frequently so need to purchase really high end diapers. After baby start to poo only once a day, I change to use Mamypoko for day usage and Pampers for night usage.

Nappy Cream
Mothercare sudocream is a must have. It cure diaper rash very fast.
Im using Mustela diaper cream, so far no diaper rash compared to Avent which keep giving baby diaper rash.

Wet Wipes
Im using Kodomo wet wipes. I buy during Watson promotion, they sell $1.95/- buy 10 and get 1 free.

Pigeon Bottles for sale

Brand new pigeon 200ml and 300ml bottles for sales. 1 for $12, get both at $20. Meet up at West lines or North lines.

3.5 months old

The older they get, the tougher it is to control them.

Sheldon attempt to hold the bottles while feeding, boy this isnt a so good thing. This boy of mine is getting really mischievous, he will push away the bottles and burst into laughter....... Sometimes he will try to suckle his fingers while drinking his milk, he is really greedy huh!!!

I really wonder who teach them all this below behaviour so that they can refuse milk.
-Push away the bottles
-Bite the teat
-Use the tongue and play around with the teat
-Spit out the milk
-Scream(not cry) to protest
-Struggle ferociously

His motor skills are developing fine. He is able to roll over, hold his head 90 degree for quite a while. I think before we all can realise he is probably able to get around in the house REAL soon.

NAM treatment - Taping

Sheldon was 1 week old during his first appointment with Dr Catherine Lee (Orthodontics for his NAM treatment). We started off with simple taping and were to see Dr C.Lee in a week time.

2nd appointment - This time round, the tape was changed to a higher pulling power tape and we were instructed to tape tightly. Sheldon's nose manage to be push back up to normal when taping was correctly done.

3rd appointment – We did not managed to tape it tightly, were instructed to tape it correctly for another week. (1 week wasted.....)

4th appointment – Pass the taping, mould taken to do the plate.

We spend almost a month on taping before Sheldon proceed with his plate. I shall share more about the plate in my next entry.

Facial Care

Im quite particular when it comes to facial cleaner, lotion, make up and make up remover. I dont stick to a particular brand for all my facial products. I tried several brands and the below works well for me.

First toy

Since Sheldon started kicking, I thought it was really good to get him this toy. The toy will sound off different music and sound upon his kick.

My Mom find that $69.90 for a simple toy like this is not worth it. Im willing to spend so long Sheldon enjoy playing with it, .

First Mother Day

Bascially there is nothing much we did this year as Baby S is still too young to dine outside. In the end the whole family came over and we had a simple dinner. We got Mom a Long Champ Pilage.

Baby S is too young to get me anything or even say Happy Mother's Day, but its okay. Having him in my life is already the greatest gift. 当妈妈有一重莫名的感动, this feeling has been with me since the birth of Sheldon.

To my surprise, my youngest sis got a box of Ferraro Rocher chocolate and wrap it up personally. She told me my son is too young to buy me anything so she buy on behalf of my son. So sweet of her.

Looking forward to the day when Sheldon know how to bring home a self drawn Mother's Day card from school.

My last day at home with Sheldon

Today marks the last day of my maternity leave. Im returning to work tml and will consume the rest of the ML during Sheldon's surgery.

1st month was Confinement Period, with Mom's presence a lot things get done easily.

2nd & 3rd month, Mom head back to work and Im all alone with Sheldon. The initial few weeks, I literally went on with an empty stomach for the whole day as I not confidence to bring Sheldon out all by myself. When Sheldon much settle down, then I head down with him to get my lunch but at times when he decided to nap and nap, I will have to give up my lunch.

Rushing in the morning twice a week for his orthodontics appointment was a BIG challenge esp when Sheldon demand for his milk when you are about to step out of the house. Most of the time we turn up late for the appointment.

Im so sleep deprived that there was once I slept while sitting in the toilet bowl, if Sheldon had not cried I would probably be continuing sleeping. I never had dark circles in my life despite those crazy late nights I used to have during my younger days. Im stuck with 2 panda eyes, Im not sure whether it will go away esp when now I have to return to work.

I spend so much time on Sheldon that, I totally forgot about myself. Most of the time, I look like a lunatics with messy hair. I never have any time for skin until they turn so DRY and Painful now. Due to all the washing, my hands feel like a 80 yr old grandma hands.

I didn't know a mother can go so far for her child. The "old" me was totally gone!!! The one who will die w/o splashing all the toner and cream on the face, cant go out with make up and heels. Most of the time Im in 3/4 cotton pants and plain t-shirt. If there is a need to go out, yes its slippers. 100% like an AUNTY!!!!

Im quite glad Im heading back to work as my life would be more scheduled. With my mom quitting her job to take care of Sheldon, my life will be so much easier and definitely less stressful. Than again Im will be missing Sheldon badly!!!!

Im so going for run every evening to lose that 5 kgm of fats!!!
