Losing the extra kilos

Many people asked me how did I shake off the weight so fast. I did not do magic. Below is the things that I have done to lost the extra fats.

Taking care of baby ALL by MYSELF
To be honest, I think God make us put on a lot of weight during pregnancy for a good reason. A mother will need all those extra fats because taking care of a baby is a very tiring job. We need the A LOT of energy to take care of the baby, those fats will in return be burnt to give us the energy. I took care of Baby S for 3 months until I return back to work force. Everyday after work, I continue to care for him. I woke up everyday at 5 am to feed milk, change diapers and change his clothing. Before I start to get myself ready for work. Slowly I realise I auto transform myself in to a Superwoman after being a mother and I'm very proud of it!!!!

Breastfeed
Although I only breastfeed for 2 months, it helps a lot by burning extra 5oo calories per day. To those who are doing confinement, please DRINK A LOT of water!!! In order to produce A LOT of breast milk, we need to drink A LOT of water. I know some people claim that drinking water during confinement will caused a huge tummy and to me this is NOT TRUE. I drink tonnes of water and my tummy was the first to shrink compare to my thighs and arms. Breastfeed will help baby to build up good immune. I do feel very guilty to stop breastfeeding at 2 months.

Eat Healthily
Good diet is the key to losing weight. We must learn to say NO to curry, nasi lemak, fried kway teow, fast foods, chocolate and all those unhealthy high calories food and snacks. When the whole office was indulging in the heavenly nasi lemak topping with my favourite chicken wings, I opted fish ball noodles. My dearest HB is one of those who alway ask do you want Macdonald(knowing french fries is my favourite), do you want Chendol or Ice Kacang. I will reject them most of the time. I wont say we should not eat these totally, once in a fortnight is perfectly fine but if you do it too often, your weighing scale will tell you your problem.

For me I take heavy breakfast, normal lunch, light tea break and light dinner. Most of the time I don't take carbohydrate during dinner. Skipping meals is a BIG NO if you want to lose weight, because our body will start to store fats once it knows the intake of food is not regular, than we will have more problem losing the fats.

Exercise
Only a died person have no time, so do you have time? Sometimes when Im not so tired, I bring my fat dog for a run, those days when Baby S needs me more, I'll play WII Fit at night. Yes even if its 11pm at night!! I do it even if I can only afford 15 minutes. There is not short cut to losing weight, exercising diligently is the way to go. I also started lifting Baby S with my legs recently, it make him happy and firm up my thighs and arms, a good 10 minutes will leave me with aching arms and legs. It also make Baby S happier!!!

The first thing to do in order to lost weight is to go to the mirror and say "I'M FAT AND I NEED TO LOST WEIGHT" out loud!!! One must be able to admit the problem before solving it. By cheating yourself doesn't works at all.

My uncle always say, 人过了四十连呼吸都会胖. If we know that this is a fact, then shouldn't we be more pro active to prevent it or do something about it. 难到就继续的胖下去吗?

Last but not least, I admit Im a big time vain pot. I need to look good in order to feel good. During my confinement period, I had phobia taking a bath. Because just by looking at those fats on my body make me feel very in confident and ugly.

I'm so happy I managed to squeeze in ALL my pre pregnancy jeans after 4.5 months of delivery. I was grinning my way to work because I was in the skinny pair of jeans once again!!!

Current weight: 43.5Kgm
Pre pregnancy weight: 42.5Kgm
My Idea weight: 40Kgm

I must JIAYOU to lost the 3.5KGM, wish me good luck!!!

PS: Pls avoid taking slimming pills, cause it will do more harm than good to our body.
